Bio

Ashley Marasco has been writing fantasy stories since as long back as she can remember. From beaten-up notebooks carried from class to class, to locked Word documents written at 15 that she can no longer recall the password to, stories have always been a part of her life.
Her fascination with history, science and theology are a constant source of inspiration for her writing. At any given time, she may be found reading about mythology, the Italian Renaissance and accessible articles on the latest developments in physics. Her thirst for knowledge does make her a formidable trivia opponent, as her husband often learns the hard way.
Ashley lives in Melbourne’s western suburbs, with an incredibly patient husband, two gorgeous kiddos, and a floofy cavoodle named Waffles. She works as a secondary teacher, hoping to ignite the future generation’s curiosity and willingness to become life-long learners.
She was longlisted for the Wyndham Writing Awards in 2025 with her short story ‘Redglass’, and her unpublished novel ‘God Words’ was in the top 15 submissions in the Aspiring – Stories for Adults category in the CYA Competition 2025. Ashley is also part of the admin team for Southern Skies Creatives, supporting Australian writers and bookstagrammers.
When she isn’t writing, Ashley enjoys watching action movies and anime, painting her nails with sparkly boutique nail polish and playing fantasy and action role-playing video games.
